These control mechanisms can be mapped according to how knowledge is acquired and exchanged. Developing this map can minimise the potential for an overreliance on accidental opportunities to gather project intelligence, and deliver predictable project outcomes. However, an over-reliance on this systematic approach could drive mediocrity through conformity.
